The first phase of the scheme was granted planning permission in 2005; work began on site in 2006 and was completed in 2008. Now fully occupied, the development features over 40 apartment variations ranging from one bed apartments to four bed family homes, many offering private gardens and also featuring a communal ‘secret garden’ complete with picnic benches, wooden rabbits and herb garden.

Phase two of the scheme, Islington Wharf Mews completed in 2018 and features 46 waterside houses and apartments with private outdoor spaces and a communal garden.

Phase 3 Islington Wharf Locks completed in September 2019, which include 101 apartments and townhouses, further adding to the established waterside community.

The next and final phase of Islington Wharf delivered by Clarion, the UK’s largest housing association, will bring 106 new homes (50% affordable offered with shared ownership) with ground floor commercial and public realm.
